Scope and eligibility
These Terms apply when you use the Cozy Fishing Discord bot, its public companion website or related game features (together, the “Service”). By creating a game account or continuing to use the Service after being shown these Terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or stop using the Service.
You must have a valid Discord account, meet Discord's applicable minimum-age rules and comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines. If local law requires permission from a parent or guardian, you may use the Service only with that permission.

Fair play is the priority
The point of Cozy Fishing is shared enjoyment. You may use the normal commands, buttons, menus and website functions provided by the Service. You may not gain or attempt to gain an unfair advantage, disrupt other players or undermine the game's economy or technical operation.
Prohibited tools and behaviour include
- Automation: scripts, macros, auto-clickers, self-bots, user-bots, modified clients or other tools that automate casts, interactions, account activity, progression or decisions.
- Cheating and exploits: abusing bugs, race conditions, altered requests, private endpoints, manipulated components or other unintended behaviour to obtain items, currency, rankings, rewards or progress.
- Technical interference: bypassing cooldowns, access controls or rate limits; probing or attacking the Service; introducing malicious code; or placing unreasonable load on the bot, website or infrastructure.
- Unfair coordination: using alternate accounts, account sharing, coordinated manipulation or any comparable method to distort rankings, rewards, statistics or the economy.
If you find a vulnerability or exploit, do not use or publish it. Report it privately to privacy@cozyfish.ing with enough information to reproduce it safely.

Conduct and content
Do not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, hateful, threatening, harassing, deceptive or rights-infringing activity. Do not spam, impersonate others, evade a restriction, expose another person's private information or submit malicious content.
Discord usernames and other information supplied through Discord may appear in public profiles and rankings. You are responsible for what you choose to make visible through your Discord identity. Content must also comply with the rules of the Discord server in which you use the bot.

Moderation and enforcement
To protect players, fair competition, security and the Service, the operator may investigate suspected violations and may at any time restrict features or access, remove or modify content, correct or reset affected progress, statistics, items or currency, suspend an account, or ban a person from some or all of the Service.
Action may be taken without advance notice where immediate action is appropriate, including for cheating, abuse, security risks, legal obligations or risk to other players. Measures may consider severity, repetition, evidence and impact. There is no entitlement to continued access or to restoration of content or game state. You may request a review through the contact address below, but a particular outcome or response time is not guaranteed.

A volunteer hobby service
Cozy Fishing is currently free, private, non-commercial and operated in spare time. There is no service-level agreement and no promise of continuous availability, support, maintenance, updates, compatibility or any particular feature.
The operator may add, remove or modify features, rules, balancing, content and technical systems; pause the Service; reset or migrate game state; or discontinue the Service permanently at any time. This can happen with or without prior notice where circumstances require it. Where reasonably practical, important planned changes will be announced.

Virtual game state
Fish, catches, coins, XP, levels, equipment, bait, boosts, achievements, rankings and all other game elements are virtual records used only inside Cozy Fishing. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money and do not represent ownership of a transferable asset.
You receive only a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use available game features under these Terms. Progress or content can be changed, corrected, reset or lost as part of operation, moderation, balancing, maintenance or discontinuation. The Service currently offers no paid items or subscriptions; any future paid offering would require separate, clearly disclosed conditions.

Project rights and licence
The Service's original software, design, text, game systems and artwork are protected by the rights of their respective owners. Except for the limited permission above, these Terms do not transfer any intellectual-property rights to you. You may not copy, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit protected parts of the Service unless the relevant rightsholder or applicable law permits it.
Cozy Fishing is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc. Discord and related marks belong to their respective owners.

No service warranty
The Service is provided free of charge on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, no guarantee is given that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every device or Discord change, or that game state and content will always be preserved. Information in the wiki and website may temporarily lag behind the running game despite reasonable efforts to keep it current.

Liability
The operator has unlimited liability for intent and gross negligence, for culpable injury to life, body or health, under an expressly assumed guarantee, under the German Product Liability Act and wherever liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
For slight negligence, the operator is liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation whose fulfilment is essential to proper use of the Service and on which a user may regularly rely. In that case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of free hobby service. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. These limitations also apply to the operator's agents and assistants.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory statutory rights. In particular, liability for intent cannot be excluded in advance, and mandatory protections for injury to life, body or health remain unaffected.

Privacy and public profiles
The separate Privacy Notice explains what personal data the bot and website use, why public profiles, characters and rankings exist, how the restricted character session works, how long data is kept and how to request access, correction or deletion. The Imprint identifies the operator.

Changes and ending use
These Terms may be updated when the Service, risks, Discord requirements or applicable law change. The current effective date appears at the top. Material changes will be presented through the Service or website where reasonably practical. Changes do not retroactively remove rights that cannot legally be changed.
You may stop using Cozy Fishing at any time and may request deletion as described in the Privacy Notice. Sections that by their nature apply after use ends — including rights, liability and law — continue to apply.

Applicable law, severability and contact
German law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections of the country in which you normally live and your statutory rights concerning the competent courts remain unaffected.
If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. The invalid provision is replaced by the applicable statutory rule; these Terms do not reduce mandatory legal rights.
